Tom Hughes
Clinical Director, Founder
Founding director at Shape Your Future, Tom is a highly skilled sports injury and massage therapist who also carries out holistic and cosmetic therapies with professionalism and confidentiality. Fully dedicated to health, sport and exercise, Tom’s passion is supporting people with their physical, social and mental well-being. Rejuvenating weary or broken bodies with a range of traditional and modern therapies is essential for supporting people in their holistic health.
Tom specialises in Personal Training, Nutrition and Sports Therapy, trained in applicating BTL technology and a RockDoc certified in using RockTape. Tom has an Honours Degree in Sports Science at Staffs Uni. Tom’s previous experiences as a PE teacher and as a successful sportsman in a range of sports have allowed him to see first hand the importance of being injury free. It has also allowed him to understand the importance for people’s well-being, to be happy with your body in all aspects. Whilst a trained therapist Tom is also studying for his Master’s degree in Sport Psychology.
Liam Carrigg
Sports Therapist, Clinic Manager
Liam is a Graduate Sports Therapist, having studied at Edge Hill University and completing his degree in 2012. During this period of study, Liam was able to complete placement opportunities with Liverpool FC Academy, Wigan Athletic FC Under 18s, Warrington Wolves RLFC and St Helens RLFC. After graduating, Liam has spent a large part of his career working with Rugby League teams competing in the British Amateur Rugby League Association (BARLA) National Conference league. From this, he got the opportunity to work with the BARLA Lancashire team in the Tri-County competition and go to Vancouver, Canada with the BARLA Under 19s for their 3 game tour.
Liam’s main goal with Sports Therapy is to help people continue to participate in all levels of activity, whether that is recovering from an injury or preventing them from occurring. He has treated patients of all ages and all levels of participation. This has given him experience and knowledge of how to alter treatments and rehab advice to suit the individual needs of the patient.
Andy Curtis
Physiotherapist
Andy is a chartered physiotherapist. He also has qualifications in sports massage and acupuncture.
In addition to having studied Physiotherapy for 4+ years, Andy has worked with a variety of groups and conditions from Professional Rugby players, elite triathletes and weightlifters all the way through to recreational gym users, keen hikers and casual runners.
